Delete Account

This page explains how RunWeather users can request account deletion and what happens to associated data afterward.

Delete Your Account in the App

The fastest way to delete your account is directly in RunWeather:

  1. 1Open RunWeather and go to the Settings tab.
  2. 2Scroll to the account section and tap "Delete account".
  3. 3Confirm. Your account and all associated data are permanently deleted right away.

Prefer email? You can also request deletion by writing to hello@runweather.app from the address linked to your account.

Timeline

We confirm requests and begin processing promptly. Most requests are completed within 7 days. Backup removal can take up to 90 days.

What Data Is Deleted

  • Account profile details (name, email, and account identifiers).
  • Connected training/account links (for example Strava connection references).
  • In-app preferences and weather/running personalization data tied to your account.

What Data May Be Retained

  • Security and abuse-prevention logs retained for up to 30 days.
  • Backups that may contain account records and are automatically purged within 90 days.
  • Records we must keep for legal, compliance, or dispute-resolution obligations, if applicable.
