About RunWeather

Weather intelligence built for one decision: should you run right now?

RunWeather is a running weather app for iPhone and Android, launched in June 2026. It translates the forecast into running decisions: every hour is scored 0-100 (the Run Score), the best window to run is called out directly, and heat, dew point, wind, and rain are explained in plain language instead of left for you to interpret.

The app was built by Iustin Nita, an independent developer and runner who kept losing summer runs to conditions that looked fine on a weather app but fell apart at mile three. RunWeather exists because a forecast written for everyone answers nothing specific about running effort — so it scores hours for runners first, leads with dew point and wet-bulb globe temperature rather than raw temperature, and suggests pace adjustments instead of leaving the math to you.

The same scoring engine that powers the mobile app also powers this website's free Run Score Calculator and the live Heat Risk board, so the numbers always match wherever you check them.
